Our processes

Passivation

Passivation enhances the corrosion resistance of stainless steel and titanium devices in accordance with ASTM A967 and helps maintain stable laser markings for reliable performance.

Electropolishing

Electropolishing produces a smooth, bright surface on stainless steel components, removing micro-burrs, machining imperfections, and ferritic deposits, while enhancing corrosion resistance and preserving functional areas.

Automated Sandblasting

Automated sandblasting uses robotic systems to treat implants with different abrasives, enabling precise control of surface roughness and consistent results for both small and large production runs, optionally followed by the StarSurf® micro and nano etching process.

Masking

Masking enables selective treatments, including two-tone or heterogeneous anodization, through gel masking and automated application, ensuring precise results, repeatability, no residue, and maintained biocompatibility.

Laser marking

Laser marking is performed using rotating mandrels for identification, traceability, and graduation of medical devices, creating shallow surface marks that preserve mechanical properties and maintain resistance to passivation.

Anodization

Anodization is performed on titanium and titanium alloy medical devices using automated lines, providing different finishes according to device type and intended use.

  • Type I: offers a matte or satin finish to support device identification.

 

  • Type III: preserves the original appearance of polished, brushed, or microblasted surfaces while enabling identification and maintaining dimensional characteristics.

 

  • Type II
: creates a hard oxide layer for maximum wear resistance, providing long-term protection and durability in compliance with AMS2488 standards.
